Fashion’s Biggest Night Brought Out The Glitz

Roommates, it’s the first Monday in May and that means that the 2022 Met Gala is finally here–and the celebrities did not come to play with their looks for fashion’s biggest night! Sure, there are other red carpets, but absolutely nothing comes close to the high fashion that graces the steps at the Met Gala…and your faves came through with the top-tier level of drip.

LaLa Anthony

Kicking things off early this year was LaLa Anthony, who was drapped out in a luxe burgundy ensemble designed by LaQuan Smith–and she tapped into the theme wearing an embellished hat.

Vanessa Hudgens

Met Gala 2022 co-host Vanessa Hudgens proved that she is a very long way from her ‘High School Musical’ roots by wearing a black, lace see-through gown with a billowing train that had heads turning as soon as she hit the red carpet.

Janelle Monae

Janelle Monae was giving everything that she had and serving a moments, showing up wearing a full-length black beaded gown, complete with a pearl-encrusted headdress.

Leslie Odom Jr.

Leslie Odom Jr. decided to step outside the traditional box for the Met Gala and serve us a LEWK, in one of the most interesting male ensembles of the night.

Ashton Sanders

Known to bring his best fashion game when it comes to the red carpet, Ashton Sanders kept the same energy this year…and added some white contacts as an accessory.

Anderson Paak

Was clearly still feeling the fashion vibes he brought to this year’s Grammys, as he showed up to the Met Gala with the same Beatles-style wig and 70s-inspired fashions.

Chloe Bailey, Cynthia Erivo, Normani

Some of our favorite girls, Chloe Bailey, Cynthia Erivo and Normani graced the Met Gala with looks that included an intricate neckpiece (for Chloe,) channeling the ancestors (for Cynthia) and midriff-baring (for Normani.)

Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz

Always managing to color-coordinate, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz stayed true to their aesthetic on red carpet.

Winnie Harlow, Teyana Taylor

Serving an ethereal princess and high fashion at the same time, Winnie Harlow and Teyana Taylor definitely got the fashion message at this year’s Met Gala!

Lori Harvey, Megan Thee Stallion

The hottie and the bawdy came ready to show the girls how it’s done, as they glided on the red carpet and up the stairs to show off their looks.

Naomi Campbell, Gunna, Future & SZA

Black excellence was on full display courtesy of Naomi Campbell, Gunna, Future and SZA! They all put their best fashions front and center to shut down the red carpet.

The Kardashians

For the first time ever, all of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters were invited to the Met Gala–and Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie, Kendall and Kris were all there are putting their designer gowns on display.

Nicki Minaj

The Queen of the Barbz, Nicki Minaj, attended the Met Gala wearing an all-black look featuring a tulle skirt and leather pants, then she topped it off with a baseball cap.

Cardi B

Cardi B made her fans wait for her arrival, but it was definitely worth it! Hitting the red carpet wearing an embellished, figure-enhancing Versace gown (and accompanied by Donatella Versace herself) Cardi looked a a glittery, bejeweled award at this year’s Met Gala!
