Gone are the days of needing a reason to throw a party. After Covid, “just vibes” is a good enough reason for any of us. It was all vibes at Dr. Clark on Thursday night as Brit skate-meets-high-fashion brand Aries hosted what was initially slated as an intimate evening with photographer Tyrell Hampton and costume designer Heidi Bivens—but turned into a 200 cool-creatives-only party overflowing onto Bayard Street in Chinatown. There’s something about an unintentional block party that makes us “fresh” air-deprived New Yorkers a little loose—even jovial. Wasabi margaritas with uni french fries, green bean tempura, and mini cheesecakes also do the trick.
Aries Founder Sofia Prantera and CEO Nicki Bidder reunited with friends of the brand (many of whom were wearing identical Aries knits featuring a Pterodactyl graphic) including Paloma Elsessor, Ella Emhoff, Lily Allen, Selah Marley, Jonathan Saunders, Binx Walton, Christopher Kane, Katie Grand, Lauren Servideo, and Gray, Mario, and Francesca Sorrenti. Over a night of Champagne, sashimi, and performances of classic karaoke jams like “I Want it That Way,” and “Linger” brought to you by Supreme creative director Tremaine Emory. All vibes, indeed.
